The LRC’s national conference and AGM ‘Building the Resistance’ was held at the Institute of Education, Bedford Way, London on Saturday 14th November.
Speakers included: Tony Benn (pictured left), Katy Clark MP, Jeremy Corbyn MP, Prof Mary Davis, Sian Jones (TU CCC), Joe Marino (BFAWU), John McDonnell MP, Mick Shaw (FBU) (pictured centre), plus international speaker Cristian Domínguez (pictured right), National Secretary of Environment and Resources, United Confederation of Bolivian Campesino Workers - see LRC TV for video from the conference.
The AGM elected new officers and a National Committee for 2009-10. View details of the 2009-10 officers and National Committee.
Conference also elected Susan Press and Christine Shawcroft (pictured below) as the two LRC nominees to the CLGA slate for Labour Party NEC.

The conference debated 18 resolutions moved by LRC affiliated organisations. Download the Resolutions booklet (pdf file), as well as the LRC National Committee Statement. With the exception of resolution 9 all were passed. Below, Mary Partington moves a resolution on Sex Work on behalf of Greater London LRC.
