Left Platform Post Election Meeting

Tuesday 12th of May 7th 2015 from 6.30pm – 9.30pm

Mander Hall, Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London, WC1H 9BD

Following February’s successful Left Platform roundtable discussion bringing together Left MP’s, PPC’s, Trade Unions, Labour Left Rank and File Groups and many progressive social movement organisations, the Left Platform will reconvene after the election.

The purpose was to discuss the key political issues and policy positions that we will be campaigning for Labour to adopt in Government and as the bottom lines in any coalition negotiations if Labour goes down that road.

I hope that this will assist in your local campaigning and discussion on Labour’s strategy post May 7th.

The Left Platform will reconvene on Tuesday the 12th May at 6.30pm. Venue will be confirmed soon.

Rail bosses are using the recession as an excuse to attack jobs and conditions and cut back on services and essential rail works, and hike rail fares - as LEAP research suggested they would. Thousands of jobs are being threatened or have been lost. At the same time rail fat cats are raking in big profits and bonuses on the back of the most expensive fares in Europe.
