Thursday 2nd February 2012
6:30am to 6:30pm
The McNulty report was commissioned by the government to ‘improve value for money to passengers and the taxpayer.’ But the report’s recommendations are a false economy which will seriously worsen services to passengers and significantly short change the taxpayer.
RMT General Secretary Bob Crow said:
“Our last day of action proved very successful and we managed to reach fifty stations with a very supportive response and passengers have returned a massive number of cards to their MPs.
“With the Government pushing back the publication of their Command Paper on McNulty there is no doubt that the campaign to stop this all out assault on our railways in the interests of private profit is winning the argument hands down.”
There is a list below of train stations (identified so far) that will be leafleted on the day. If there is any help with mobilising that you can offer, it would be greatly appreciated.
