FBU London Solidarity Meeting

Every firefighter in London is currently facing the sack. FBU members have responded to the provocations of the London Fire Authority (LFEPA) by voting overwhelmingly in favour of industrial action. In addition to an ongoing overtime ban, there will be two days of strikes on 23rd October and 1st November.

The SERTUC Public Services Committee – working in conjunction with the FBU London Region – has organised an open meeting to explain the background to the dispute and to discuss how London trade unionists can support the union’s campaign.

The meeting is being held on Thursday 28th October between 6.00-8.00pm at TUC Congress House, Great Russell Street, London WC1B.
