Employment Law Update: The Equality Bill

In these difficult times it is more important than ever to keep up to date with the latest changes in employment legislation.  The Institute’s second Employment Law Update Conference in the North West will look in detail at the new Equality Bill - what’s in it and how it could affect you and your colleagues.
The Bill brings together all domestic anti-discrimination provisions - sex, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion and belief and age -  as well as extending the prohibition on age discrimination beyond employment; widening the public duty remit around anti- discrimination; increasing the possibilities for positive action; and, at last, attempts are being made to address the gender pay gap.
But, does it go far enough?  And what are the implications?

Our expert speakers including lawyers, trade unionists and academics will critically assess the Bill and its implications.
